I am a lifelong entrepreneur who started my first company while a senior in high school. Within two years I owned three businesses: a shake and shingle mill and two video arcades. I am an admitted workaholic who enjoys learning many different trades. My ventures included being tree trimmer, logger, roofer, drywall hanger, salesman, and District management with Colonial Corporation.
Currently, I am a Realtor/Broker at John L. Scott in Belfair but I still own and operate a small cable TV advertising and marketing company and a cedar shake and shingle mill. ( If you want something done, give it to a busy man! )
Business, professional or civic organizationsI am a passionate community volunteer who serves or has served on many local and regional Boards. I understand the difference between attendance and participation and try to lead by example and not just words. Below is some of my community involvement over the past few years.
Community work with and for childrenMember of four community advisory committees for North Mason School District: Co-chair on the Athletic Advisory Committee, served on the Facilities Committee, Bond committee and the Council of Key Communicators. I have coached more than 1000 kids over an 18-year period in Baseball, Football and Basketball. Tutored over a hundred children and headed way too many school and sport fundraisers to list.
I have received awards for my work with kids, including three from the North Mason School Board, two from the Washington State School Directors Association and another from the Kitsap County Association for Early Childhood Education. I have many other awards for my coaching.
